Growing up, I believed empathy was for the weak, fairness was an illusion, and connection was conditional. When I became a parent I understood the importance of emotional intelligence for success. However, I had no idea how to impart these skills to my kids, nor did I have them myself. I created this series of children’s books showing empathy while undergoing my transformation toward a more emotionally mature and authentic person.
